We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Customs and Border Protection Officers. As a CBPO, you will play a critical role in protecting the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing economic prosperity.
Job Description:
The typical assignments of a CBPO include enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations; facilitating the flow of legitimate trade and travel; conducting inspections of individuals and conveyances; determining admissibility for entry into the United States; preventing illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Ability to meet federal standards for law enforcement officers;
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation;
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations;
- Familiarity with law enforcement procedures;
- Bachelor’s degree or 3 years’ experience working in general labor fields – OR - Possess an equivalent combination that demonstrates the required knowledge skills abilities needed to perform this job successfully.
h4 Benefits:- Salary starting at GS-5 $40 332 per year increasing up through grade levels one being assigned location dependent bonuses promotions allowed once completing fifty-two week assignments within those level where career ladder progression is predetermined based on collective bargaining agreements followed rank promotion precedence;
