Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in Niagara Falls, ON, for a Personal Support Worker at Walden Circle Retirement Community. The Personal Support Worker will provide compassionate care and assistance to residents, encompassing personal hygiene, mobility support, meal assistance, and other daily living tasks. The role requires maintaining residents' safety, dignity, and comfort while fostering positive relationships and a healthy living environment. Support Workers are expected to communicate effectively with residents, family members, and team members to address needs and improve the overall quality of care.
Qualifications
Experience as a Support Worker in a retirement, healthcare, or related setting
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trustful and positive relationships with residents
Knowledge of safeguarding principles and ability to implement them to ensure residents' safety and well-being
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, family members, and staff
Technical skills to manage assistive devices and documentation equipment
A valid Personal Support Worker certification or equivalent qualification
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
