Job Description
NSF is seeking to add an Regulatory Affairs Intern to its team. In this role, you will perform a wide range of administrative and customer related duties with varying complexity to support the Food Label and Compliance team programs and processes. To include communicating with and provide technical and administrative support services to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and Anticipates and resolves problems while updating leaders on status of various projects.
Responsibilities
Developing nutrient and ingredient labelling information in compliance with government regulations, policies and company guidelines.
Compile and issue Nutrition Facts tables, ingredient lists, allergen information and any other required information for compliant labelling.
Has direct responsibility for a specific set of tasks related to a project as it pertains to nutrition labelling services.
Provides administrative support services for client driven project activities.
Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, timesheets, etc.
Provides for smooth day-to-day flow of communications within the team to support ongoing projects.
Ensures full compliance with the company's Health and Safety program and policies.
Qualifications
Enrolled in a post-secondary school degree in Food Science, Nutrition or related discipline; 2 nd or 3 rd year Student.
Exemplary communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of Canadian food label regulations and requirements.
Work experience in the food industry.
