Position Overview
As a Maintenance Assistant at Cabot Cape Breton, you will play a vital role in maintaining the resort's facilities to the highest standards. Your responsibilities include performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting repairs, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and functionality of the property. From plumbing and electrical work to carpentry and landscaping, your expertise in various maintenance areas will be utilized to uphold Cabot Cape Breton's reputation for excellence. Attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work efficiently are essential qualities for this role. By contributing to the overall upkeep and appearance of the resort, you will create a positive environment for both guests and colleagues, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience at Cabot Cape Breton.

Preferred Qualifications And Skills
High school diploma
Valid driver's license
Verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities
Requirements Of The Role You Should Be Aware Of
Based on the nature of our business and the service we provide to our guests, to work with us, you must consent to a criminal background check as a condition of employment and an additional criminal background check every two years.
As a seasonal resort business, you can anticipate a schedule that will involve day, evening, night, and weekend work.
Occasional Lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling, objects up to 80 lbs
Occasional ascending and descending of stairs and ramps.
Occasional kneeling, scooping, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, crawling and twisting.
Working outdoors occasionally in all weather conditions
Repetitive movements
Ability to use hand tools such as wrenches, handsaws, cable strippers, and power tools
Ability to resolve employee maintenance tickets
Constant focus and repetitive work are to be expected
Ability to manage timeline pressures and constraints
Occasionally working outdoors in all type of weather conditions
