We are seeking an IT Business Insights Manager, to work closely with the IT Senior Leadership Team (ITSLT) to ensure alignment and progress on key initiatives and agreed actions that will drive the achievement of the IT overall strategy.
You will be accountable to ensure the ITSLT has updates and analysis required to prepare key stakeholder engagements and provide a trusted synthesis of disparate information to frame a view of the business' progress toward strategic goals. This involves working with the UK CIO team and Group to drive value for the ACAN business. You will work closely with the IT SVP's and CIO and Finance Business Partnering team in developing insights, analysis and appropriate presentation decks to support various updates to key stakeholders.
This is an individual contributor role that strategically partners with senior‑level stakeholders to drive alignment and execution of IT strategic priorities.
What You'll Do
Provide operational, strategic and consultative services to the IT SVP's and CIO
Design and produce presentations, reports and other communications as required for the SLT's actions with both internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with key stakeholders to provide research and analysis, timely reporting, business unit updates, including any required background information for meetings, including senior papers and reports for ACAN Executive Committee and Aviva Group Executive Committee
Manage and facilitate ITSLT Meetings including documenting and follow up action items, driving resolution
Influences and shapes design of strategy and event planning for the ITSLT by collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders to determine issues, opportunities and topics requiring Leadership Team attention
Enables effective financial governance, transparency, and decision making across IT BAU operations by providing structured budget coordination, forecasting accuracy, and proactive alignment between IT Senior Leadership (ITSLT) and the Finance Business Partner (FBP)
Drives the deep dives and challenges with all Aviva Central Services (ACS) provided by Group, working across the ITSLT on consumption and value, owning the actions to reduce costs or budget transfer as agreed‑
Strengthen the clarity, consistency, and impact of IT communications and events by working in close partnership with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment with enterprise messaging, brand standards, and organizational priorities.
Ensure all Learning & Development initiatives, career paths and all associated training and accreditations are delivered to agreed plans and remain in tolerance
Coordinates on a regular basis with other departments to ensure alignment of objectives and agreed goals. Manages the monthly KPI scorecard and outputs to relevant stakeholders
Develops key materials for the CIO for presentation to the ACAN board, EC and external forums
Executes events for the Senior Leadership Team to assist in delivering Aviva's key strategies and objectives to shareholders, employees and the industry
Supports initiatives influencing government, regulators and industry bodies
Position recognized internally and externally as trusted advisor to the ITSLT and represents at external industry parties on a variety of projects and initiatives with national scope
What You'll Bring
Strong business experience gained through progressive leadership or senior individual contributor roles within IT, with a preference for experience in the Insurance industry
Excellent communication skills and able to independently prepare complex reports and presentations (PowerPoint)
Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to communicate and work effectively with senior leaders and to pull the right people together
Strong business acumen, ideally with a background of technical knowledge, coupled with excellent project management/facilitation skills
Strong ability to influence and communicate across all areas of the business
Ability to make decisions, use independent judgment, establish priorities, and work effectively on multiple initiatives
Capacity to consider, process and filter large amounts of complex information quickly and identify appropriate actions
Led/participated in initiatives that translated a strategic vision and business strategies into tangible plans and deliverables, including playing a key role in successfully completing major change
High level of professionalism and commitment
What You'll Get
The salary band for this position ranges from $100,000 to $150,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
