This position is responsible for enforcing immigration laws and protecting the nation’s borders. The role requires a high level of physical fitness, as agents may be required to patrol long distances on foot or by vehicle.

Duties include:

• Inspecting documents and possessions to identify potential violators
• Detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration laws
• Apprehending aliens smugglers using surveillance equipment and covert positions
