This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to work as a law enforcement officer for the US Government. As a Customs and Border Protection Officer, you will play a key role in protecting the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

• Safeguard America's Borders: You'll be responsible for enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations at one of more than 300 ports of entry across the country.


• Deter Illicit Activity: You'll use your skills to identify potential security threats and take action to prevent them from entering or exiting the country.


• Facilitate Legitimate Trade & Travel: In addition to securing our borders, you'll also help facilitate legitimate trade between countries while ensuring that illegal activities are not taking place.

The typical assignments include but are not limited to conducting inspections of individuals,” conveyances,” determining admissibility, preventing entry of prohibited goods drugs etc.”
