Border Security Specialist

Role Overview

Customs and Border Protection Officers work with an elite team of highly trained professionals to safeguard America.

• Enforce customs, immigration, and agriculture laws and regulations;
• Facilitate trade and travel;
• Conduct inspections of individuals and conveyances;

Determine admissibility of individuals for entry into the United States. Prevent illegal entry of individuals and prohibited goods.
This role requires strong communication skills, critical thinking abilities, physical stamina, adaptability in a dynamic environment.

• Bachelor's degree or higher; preferred field: Law Enforcement/Law/Policing/Security/Public Administration/Homeland Security/Diplomatic Studies/Criminal Justice/Military Science/Substance Abuse Counseling; Foreign Language studies relevant to location (e.g., Spanish); preferably in Government agencies with Customs experience.


• Relevant certifications/trainings that may be required are Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), Hazardous Materials Endorsement).
