This project is not a redesign.
All page designs already exist in Canva, and several pages are partially built in Squarespace. The work required is careful execution, consistency, and clean implementation.
This is a good fit for someone who enjoys finishing work to a high standard and understands how to use Squarespace's global styles properly.
Project Overview
Platform: Squarespace 7.1
Design source: Canva (desktop layouts provided)
Fonts and type system: already finalized
Goal: a cohesive, polished site ready for launch
The site currently has spacing and typography inconsistencies due to legacy styles and duplicated blocks. These need to be cleaned up and standardized before final page builds are completed.
Scope of Work
Phase 1 - Global Styling & Cleanup
1. Set and apply global typography styles (headings, body, buttons)
2. Correct spacing and formatting inconsistencies
3. Normalize section padding and layout rhythm
4. Use minimal custom CSS only if necessary to enforce consistency
Phase 2 - Priority Page Builds
- Build 6–7 public-facing pages in Squarespace using Canva reference designs
- Match layouts closely and apply consistent styling across pages
- Ensure clean responsive behavior (desktop-first)
Phase 3 - Secondary Pages
- Apply established styles to hidden/support pages
- Reuse existing layouts and components
- No redesign or layout experimentation
- Design & Execution Guidelines
- Canva designs to be followed as closely as possible
- Maintain consistent spacing, hierarchy, and typography throughout
- Raise questions early rather than making assumptions
You Are a Good Fit If You:
1. Have strong Squarespace 7.1 experience
2. Are comfortable building from detailed Canva reference designs
3. Have a high standard for layout precision, spacing, and typographic consistency
4. Communicate clearly, proactively, and professionally
This Project Is Not:
- A branding or visual redesign
- A copywriting or content project
- An SEO overhaul
- A mobile-first rethinking of layouts
Deliverables
1. Clean, consistent global styles applied site-wide
2. Priority pages built and approved
3. Secondary pages styled and functional
4. Site ready for launch
How to Apply
Please include:
- 2–3 Squarespace sites you've built using provided designs
- A brief note on your experience working with global styles and typography systems in Squarespace
Your estimated timeline for:
- Global styling + priority pages
- Full project completion
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Squarespace, Wix, Canva
Optional skills: Graphic Design, Web Design
