We are seeking a senior mechanical CAD designer or mechanical engineer to model a functional RF optical component. This is not cosmetic modeling.
The part includes a linear refractive dielectric wedge and a datum-controlled sensor socket. Accuracy and adherence to specification are mandatory.
Scope
• Create a single solid CAD part
• Linear planar wedge with explicit center thickness
• Named RF datum plane controlling optical geometry
• Precision rear socket with tight tolerances
Key Requirements
• Parametric CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, Fusion 360, or NX)
• Datum-driven modeling experience
• Comfortable working to ±0.05 mm tolerance
• Section-based geometry verification
Deliverables
1. STEP (.step) file suitable for SLA printing
2. Dimensioned 2D drawing (PDF) with section views
3. Confirmation screenshots showing:
• Thin / center / thick wedge thicknesses
• Datum plane reference
Not a Fit If
• You rely on slicers to "fix" geometry
• You do cosmetic or mesh-only modeling
• You cannot explicitly dimension the center thickness
