The Project Manager has overall accountability for the progression of planning and readiness activities related to Pickering RFBR's Replacement Steam Generator (RSG) and key equipment. It is the SGR Project point of contact to ensure a consistent, deliberate, and clear methodology is used for key decisions, and advancement of deliverables related to the scope. This position reports to the RFBR's RSG Sr. Project Manager.
Your role
Lead by example to ensure a One Team Project-First, collaborative approach for internal, external, cross-JV and client-facing interactions. Create the context that promotes this and other values that are required to make the project successful.
Ensure the delivery of all the equipment in accordance with safety standards, on time and on budget and compliant with the Technical Requirements.
Provide regular and accurate progress updates to the RSG Sr Project Manager, Project Controls Director, and the client for reporting purposes.
Boiler Manufacturer's cost & schedule adherence and management of schedule & cost threats and opportunities, including timely escalation.
Early identification of any threats to Project schedule or cost profile, or quality issues.
Constantly monitor for schedule and cost reduction opportunities across the scope of works. In particular, the Project Manager should be continuously looking for more efficient methods to perform the Work.
Work collaboratively with the SGR stakeholders to ensure the Project requirements are met and represents the most efficient methods to deliver the equipment.
As a member of the SR Project Leadership Team, participate in regular meetings and provides advice and support to the other members.
Support the development and maintenance of the Project Risk Register. Specifically, the Project Manager is responsible for the identification, mitigation, and management of related risk items for his/her scopes.
Stakeholdering with the Client on requests for Manufacturer's contract changes in close collaboration with the procurement team.
Tracking and expediting internal and external deliverables as part of the contract. Coordination of delivery of the procured equipment to site and SPOC for the relationship with the Construction Team.
Ensuring as-built details are fully understood and available to the team performing prep and install.
Provide frequent, informal performance feedback to SGR team members, and formal feedback according to home office company policy. Endeavor the feedback to be in person wherever possible.

About You
Minimum of five years work experience.
Nuclear Construction Industry experience is an asset, however, drive and ownership attributes are requisite for the position.
Experience with project management toolset including planning, staffing, scheduling, risk management, performance measurement, and cost controls.
Highly self-motivated team player with a participative management style and strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to identify planning and training gaps; generate effective solutions; and provide recommendations for improvement.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
Results oriented individual with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines.
People oriented with an ability to establish a high degree of credibility with staff and clients.
An excellent written and verbal communicator with superior interpersonal and relationship management skills.
Commitment to working in a team environment.
Working knowledge of construction safety programs, hazard identification and mitigation
Familiarity with the technical requirements is a significant benefit to this role.
Physical Demands
Work is a mixture of Pickering Project Office, Atkins-Realis office, OPG Pickering office/station with most of the time within the Manufacturer's facilities. Although it is not expected that this position would need to be at the Pickering site continuously, there is an expectation the incumbent will be physically present at internal, project or client-facing meeting as needed to ensure strong relationship-building and collaboration.
Various work locations in both field and office.
Travel as necessary.
