I prefer this built in Bubble (or another no‑code tool) so it's easy to edit later, but I'm open to suggestions.
Version 1 – must-have features:
Login & basic accounts
Simple login for me and a few team members (email + password).
Main estimating page (desktop layout)
Layout: left side = form, right side = map.
Left side form fields:
Customer name
Phone
Property address
Fence type (dropdown: wood, vinyl, chain link, etc.)
Fence height (dropdown: 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft)
Price per foot (number)
Number of gates (number field is fine)
Right side: map with satellite view based on the property address.
Map measuring
After entering the address, center the map on that location.
I need to click points along the fence line on the map (corners, turns).
Show total linear feet of all the clicked line segments.
This can work similar to online "measure distance on a map" tools.
Estimate calculation
Take the total fence feet from the map.
Multiply by "price per foot" from the form.
Add an optional gate charge (for example, price per gate x number of gates, a simple field is fine).
Show:
Total feet
Material/labor estimate (total price)
Save and view estimates
Each estimate should save to a database with:
Date
Customer info
Address
Fence type, height
Total feet
Total price
A simple "Estimates" page/table where I can see a list of past estimates and click to view details.
Nice to have (if simple):
Button to print or download a simple PDF/printable summary of the estimate (my logo at top, customer info, fence details, price).
Tech details / preferences:
Must be a web app that works well on desktop (Chrome browser).
Built in Bubble or a similar no‑code tool where I can change text and prices later.
Clean and simple UI – I don't need fancy design, just clear fields and a big map.
Please keep the project structure simple and avoid overusing Bubble AI auto‑generated pages, so I can understand and edit it myself later.
Future plans (so build it with this in mind):
Later I want to turn this into a paid tool for other fence companies (SaaS).
Please structure the database so it can support multiple companies/users in the future (multi‑tenant), even if Version 1 only has my company using it.
What I need from you:
A quick Loom or screen recording at the end showing how to:
Create a new estimate
Use the map to measure
Change the price per foot options
Basic documentation or notes on where things are in the editor.
Please include in your proposal:
Examples of past work with maps and/or construction/estimating tools.
Whether you'll use Bubble or another platform, and why.
Rough timeline and total cost for Version 1.
Contract duration of less than 1 month.
