As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will play a critical role in strengthening operational excellence for the Individual Insurance team by building a robust training, capability development, and documentation framework. You will assess current skills and processes, design data‑driven training solutions, and establish standardized procedures that ensure accuracy, compliance, and consistency. This is a high‑impact role where your work directly reduces operational risk, improves performance, and supports long‑term organizational capability.

Work Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
What you'll do:
- Conducting structured interviews, assessments, and documentation audits to evaluate current skills, process adherence, and knowledge gaps.
- Developing individualized training plans with measurable learning objectives, timelines, and manager alignment.
- Designing and delivering blended learning solutions including virtual sessions, simulations, case studies, and knowledge assessments.
- Measuring training effectiveness using performance baselines, training report cards, and pre‑/post‑training metrics.
- Facilitating regular check‑ins with trainees and managers to adjust plans, review progress, and reinforce expectations.
- Analyzing Quality Assurance data to identify recurring defects and developing targeted, root‑cause‑driven training solutions.
- Creating refresher training plans with structured assessments, mentoring supports, and clear corrective goals.
- Developing and maintaining standardized documentation templates for procedures, process maps, job aids, and decision trees.
- Leading the creation and governance of operational procedures, ensuring alignment with validated processes and NBX target state.
- Collaborating with Process Engineering, Controls, Change Management, and SMEs to ensure documentation and training reflect system, policy, and process updates
What you'll bring:
- A university degree, ideally in Adult Education, Business, Human Resources, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, with a strong track record of designing and delivering training programs.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, preferably Ceridian Dayforce, and comfort with hybrid learning environments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including MS Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written communication, interpersonal skills, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
- Integrity, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong time‑management and multitasking skills, with comfort handling interactions both virtually and in person.
- Resourcefulness and initiative when navigating assumptions, ambiguity, or evolving business needs.
- Experience facilitating virtual classroom training and using MS Teams or similar platforms (asset).
- The ability to drive teamwork, support change, and ensure high‑quality, compliant, and consistent documentation.

Your base pay will be based on your skills, qualifications, experience and education. In addition to your salary, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive award tied to business performance, plus a wide range of competitive benefits.
