We are looking for a skilled Shipping & Receiving Associate in San Antonio, Texas, to join our growing logistics operation. In this pivotal role, you will be the gatekeeper of our incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. You'll manage the flow of goods, maintain inventory records, and ensure our products reach their destinations in perfect condition. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the receiving of all incoming shipments, verifying quantities and quality against manifests.
- Process and document all outgoing shipments, ensuring timely dispatch.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and system updates.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move goods.
- Package items securely for shipment, applying appropriate labels and documentation.
- Inspect all goods for damage or defects and report findings.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickups and deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned to support overall operations.
Requirements:
- Experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Strong understanding of Safety best practices and the use of PPE.
- Ability to handle regular Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the logistics industry is highly preferred.
