Job Description: A CBPO is responsible for safeguarding our borders by enforcing customs, immigration, and agriculture laws. You will facilitate the flow of legitimate trade and travel while preventing illicit activity. Your duties may include conducting inspections of people, documents, or goods; utilizing observational techniques to evaluate facts; making determinations based on laws and regulations that may lead to arrests or seizures.
Required Skills: To be successful as a CBPO, you must have excellent communication skills; ability to learn quickly; strong analytical thinking abilities. Physical fitness is also required due to demanding nature of job which involves standing long hours at checkpoints performing rigorous searches etc..
