• This role involves detecting suspected immigration violations, inspecting documents, possessions, and determining citizenship violations.
• The agent must detect and apprehend undocumented noncitizens, smugglers, perform surveillance operations during day and night using infrared scopes in waterway checks on buildings farms traffic city patrols transportation inspections. The duties include patrolling international boundary coastal waterways using various vehicles such as ATVs snowmobiles motorcycles U.S Border Patrol agents work in units formed around sectors headquartered at various stations these entities assign USBP employees to duty rosters impacting daily activities
