Role Summary:
Join Our Team as a highly skilled Implementation Engineer to design, implement, and maintain AI-driven solutions integrated with Microsoft Azure Cloud Infrastructure. This role bridges the gap between advanced AI technologies and enterprise systems, ensuring secure, scalable, and efficient deployments across cloud environments.
What You'll Do:
Architect and deploy AI/ML models and services using Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Azure Cognitive Services.
Manage end-to-end delivery of AI integration projects: requirements, architecture, design, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Build and maintain pipelines in Azure DevOps for model deployment, monitoring, and continuous integration.
Use Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights for observability and optimization of AI integrations.
Maintain detailed architecture diagrams, integration workflows, and governance policies for AI deployments.
Work closely with the integration vendor to ensure solutions are designed and implemented according to Medcan's standards for scalability, security, and compliance.
Ensure MCP (Model Context Protocol) readiness for agentic AI integrations and establish standards for onboarding AI tools and services.
Analyze existing integration patterns and technologies; identify opportunities for modernization and optimization.
Maintain compliance with privacy, security, and healthcare regulations (PIPEDA, PHIPA) across all integration points.
Drive continuous improvement by introducing best practices for integration, automation, and DevOps in a lean team environment.
What You'll Need:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Experience: 5+ years in systems integration or enterprise application connectivity, with at least 3+ years in a lead or architect role.
Proven expertise in Azure Integration and AI Services.
Strong knowledge of API design principles (REST, OpenAPI/Swagger), API security (OAuth 2.0, OIDC, mTLS), and governance best practices.
This is a full-time hybrid position (2 days in office) working 40 hours per week based on business needs between regular office hours Monday – Saturday (8 AM - 5 PM). Our downtown Toronto clinic is conveniently located at 150 York St., which is nearby St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station
Position Pay Range
$95, $131,087.00 CAD annually
Pay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidate's experience and qualifications within the role's compensation grade. Medcan's compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills, market value, and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks, benefits, and potential bonuses or incentives.
