About the Role:
As a WordPress Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing, designing, and maintaining websites for a variety of clients. You will collaborate with designers, content creators, and other developers to ensure seamless integration of functional and aesthetically pleasing websites.
Key Responsibilities:
Custom Theme Development: Design and build custom WordPress themes from scratch or modify existing themes according to the client's requirements.
Plugin Integration & Development: Install, configure, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins to meet functional requirements, and build custom plugins when necessary.
Site Optimization: Optimize websites for speed, scalability, and SEO best practices to improve performance and user experience.
Responsive Design: Ensure websites are fully responsive and compatible across all browsers and devices.
E-commerce Integration: Experience in setting up and customizing WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
Troubleshooting & Debugging: Diagnose and resolve website issues quickly, from minor bugs to more complex problems.
Regular Maintenance: Perform regular updates, backups, and security checks to keep sites secure and up-to-date.
Collaboration: Work closely with designers, content creators, and other team members to ensure the seamless execution of web projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proven Experience as a WordPress Developer with a strong portfolio of websites.
Strong Knowledge of WordPress, PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and MySQL.
Experience with Theme Development: Ability to build custom themes from scratch, modify existing themes, and integrate them with plugins.
Expert in Plugin Integration & Development: Hands-on experience with popular WordPress plugins (Yoast SEO, WPForms, WooCommerce, etc.).
Responsive Web Design Skills: Ability to create mobile-first, responsive websites that adapt to all screen sizes.
SEO Best Practices Knowledge: Understanding of on-page SEO techniques, meta tags, image optimization, etc.
Version Control with Git: Familiarity with Git for version control and project management.
Experience with eCommerce Solutions: Experience with WooCommerce or other e-commerce platforms.
Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate ideas and collaborate effectively with clients and team members.
Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
Experience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), Custom Post Types, and REST APIs.
Familiarity with page builders like Elementor or WPBakery.
Knowledge of website security and performance optimization tools (e.g., caching, CDN, etc.).
Experience with website migration and hosting management.
Knowledge of SEO tools and integration (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, etc.).
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 30 hours per week.
