About the Role:
As Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), you will be a key contributor in delivering financial insights and supporting operational and strategic decision-making across Clearlight Energy's renewable energy portfolio. This position offers the opportunity to work across a dynamic renewable energy portfolio and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will report directly to the Manager, FP&A and serve as a business partner for Operational Projects to the operational and business teams.
What you will do….
Collaborate with FP&A, operations, and business teams to support the development of annual budgets and monthly reforecasts for operational assets.
Provide comprehensive analysis of the financial results, explaining variances in actual versus budgeted and forecast recommending corrective actions to influence future results.
Partner with business groups across the organizations to better understand financial results as well as risks and opportunities to current forecast. Effectively communicate these findings to the team.
Perform ad hoc analysis and other requests to support business activities and decisions.
Support ongoing development and automation of FP&A reporting tools and templates.
Own the preparation of recurring reporting tasks to support compliance with partnership agreement obligations. Facilitate periodic information distribution to external parties by gathering and managing inputs from internal contributors, maintaining data integrity, independently finalizing outputs, and supporting partner meetings through preparation of stakeholder materials.
Assist decision making with comprehensive data analytics, provide analytical support to enable efficient and accurate interactions with internal and external stakeholders with strong contract obligation focus.
Maintain documentation for FP&A processes and outputs to support internal controls and data integrity.
Support monthly revenue calculation and accrual process along with monthly results validation.
We want you on our team because you…
Have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA and/or CFA designation considered an asset.
Have 3-5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or a related field, preferably in the energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries.
Are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP and planning tools (Microsoft Dynamics) is an asset.
Have a strong understanding of financial statements and cash flow modeling
Have experience with renewable energy markets, considered an asset
Thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and bring a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Are detail-oriented, highly analytical, and adept at synthesizing data into clear recommendations.
Communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
Are comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
Demonstrate sound judgment and maintain a high level of integrity.

Typical hiring range for this position is between $80,000 to $105,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The Company offers annual bonus, group benefits and RSP program.
