I am looking for an experienced desktop software developer with strong knowledge of Interactive Brokers TWS API / IB Gateway to build a manual-execution options trading support tool, similar to an existing professional application.
This software is not an automated trading system.
Its only purpose is to prepare and send option orders to Interactive Brokers via the API, where final review and execution are done manually in TWS / IB Gateway.
Main Requirements
The software must:
Connect to Interactive Brokers via TWS API or IB Gateway
Work with SPX / XSP options
Handle 0DTE and 1DTE expirations
Retrieve from IBKR option chains:
strikes
greeks (especially delta)
bid / ask prices
Select option contracts based on predefined delta values
(delta targets are provided by the user; no pricing models or calculations are required)
Recreate option structures based on delta rules
(examples: Iron Condor, Calendar Spread)
Prepare and send multi-leg LIMIT orders (combo/BAG) to the Interactive Brokers API order window
Orders must be sent in preview mode only
→ final confirmation and execution remain manual inside IBKR
Technical Requirements
Desktop application (not a web app)
Preferred languages:
Python (preferred) or C#
Proven experience with:
IBKR TWS API / IB Gateway
option chains and greeks
multi-leg / combo (BAG) orders
Use only IBKR-provided data (option chain, bid/ask, greeks)
→ no pricing calculations or automated trading logic
Delivery of:
full source code
setup and usage instructions
Nice to Have
Clean trading-style UI
Strategy parameter presets (delta, quantity, etc.)
Logging and basic error handling

your experience with Interactive Brokers API
a brief description or examples of similar tools you have built
This project is intended for developers already familiar with IBKR APIs and options trading workflows.
Contract duration of less than 1 month. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: Python, API, API Integration, Desktop Application, C#, Java
Optional skills: Windows App Development, .NET Framework
