The Role
We're looking for a skilled WordPress Support Specialist to provide ongoing website maintenance, troubleshooting, and support across our client portfolio. This is an ongoing, part-time engagement — not a one-time project. You'll be a behind-the-scenes partner to our web team, keeping client sites healthy, updated, and performing.
What You'll Be Doing
- Performing routine WordPress maintenance: core, theme, and plugin updates
- Serving as a technical resource for both clients and internal staff — receiving, triaging, and resolving support tickets through Zendesk
- Troubleshooting and resolving site errors, broken layouts, and plugin conflicts
- Making content and page edits as requested
- Monitoring and resolving site speed/performance issues
- Assisting with website migrations and staging environments
- Communicating clearly on ticket status and timelines — we need someone who keeps us in the loop
You're a Great Fit If You...
- Have 3+ years of hands-on WordPress experience, ideally in an agency setting
- Are comfortable managing multiple sites simultaneously without dropping the ball
- Know your way around cPanel, WP-CLI, or similar tools
- Have experience with common SEO and marketing plugins (Yoast, RankMath, WPForms, etc.)
- Communicate proactively and reliably — responsiveness matters as much as technical skill
- Know how to triage and manage a ticket queue — staying organized across multiple concurrent requests
- Are detail-oriented and take pride in clean, stable work
Engagement Details
- Hourly contract, ongoing
- Estimated 10–25 hours/week, flexible based on volume
- Fully remote, async-friendly — some availability during Eastern Time business hours preferred for client-facing needs
Contract duration of 3 to 6 months. with 30 hours per week.
Mandatory skills: WordPress, Technical Support, DNS, Web Hosting, Zendesk, English
