After a recent website update, we began experiencing issues with WordPress admin access. We suspect plugin, theme, or PHP conflicts may be causing instability.
We also need to restore and clarify the homepage structure and overall site logic.
Our website currently uses WooCommerce to sell digital content. In the near future, we plan to expand into membership programs or bundled content packages. The site architecture must support scalability and long-term growth.
Scope of Work
We are looking for an experienced WordPress developer to:
- Diagnose and resolve WordPress admin/login access issues
- Identify and fix plugin, theme, or PHP conflicts
- Review hosting and WordPress configuration for stability and security
- Restore and clarify homepage/landing page logic within WordPress settings and templates
- Maintain and improve WooCommerce setup for digital product delivery
- Implement a clean workflow including:
- Backups
- Staging environment
- Safe update process
- Provide clear documentation or instructions for future maintenance
Required Experience
- Deep understanding of WordPress core, hooks, and common failure modes
- Strong PHP and MySQL skills
- Proven experience troubleshooting WordPress update-related issues
- Hands-on WooCommerce experience (digital products required)
- Experience with hosting control panels (Plesk, cPanel, or managed WordPress hosting)
Preferred Experience
- Membership or subscription plugins (e.g., MemberPress, WooCommerce Memberships, etc.)
- Security hardening and backup strategies
- Performance optimization (caching and basic CDN knowledge)
Ideal Candidate

- Works methodically and communicates clearly
- Can quickly isolate root causes instead of applying temporary patches
- Thinks long-term about maintainability and scalability
- Has real-world experience fixing broken WordPress environments
If you've handled complex WordPress recovery and WooCommerce digital product systems before, we'd love to hear how you approach troubleshooting and stabilization projects.
Please include a brief description of similar WordPress recovery or WooCommerce troubleshooting work you've completed.
Contract duration of 1 to 3 months. with 40 hours per week.
