We are looking for a diligent and accurate Inventory Clerk to join our Jacksonville, Florida warehouse operations. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory records. Your duties will include performing cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, assisting with physical inventories, and ensuring that all inventory movements are accurately recorded in our Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will work closely with the receiving, shipping, and operations teams to ensure seamless inventory flow and accurate stock levels. A strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics is essential for success. We are committed to a safe work environment, and you must adhere to all safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and proficient with inventory management software. Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Record all inventory movements, adjustments, and transfers in the WMS.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure accurate initial inventory placement.
- Generate inventory reports and analyze data for accuracy and trends.
- Support the shipping and receiving departments by providing accurate inventory information.
- Maintain organized inventory records and documentation.
- Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in ongoing training and process improvement initiatives related to inventory control.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk, Inventory Control Specialist, or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to inventory data.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and warehouse operations.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols.
