We are looking for detail-oriented Order Pickers to join our bustling warehouse in Detroit, Michigan. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our order fulfillment process. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately retrieve items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders, preparing them for packing and shipping. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring aisles are clear.
- Operate manual pallet jacks and other lifting devices as needed.
- Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory control activities, such as cycle counting.
- Meet individual and team productivity goals.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
