We are seeking a dependable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical movement of materials within the warehouse, ensuring that inventory is accurately managed and efficiently relocated. Your primary focus will be on safe and effective handling of goods, contributing to the seamless operation of our distribution center. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Sort, identify, and accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials between different areas of the warehouse using manual and powered equipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers with care and precision.
- Perform tasks such as wrapping pallets, labeling boxes, and preparing goods for shipment.
- Conduct regular checks of inventory levels and report discrepancies to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in accordance with Safety guidelines.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and dollies.
- Assist with cycle counts and full inventory counts as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to proper Lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse role is a significant advantage.
- Ability to perform consistent physical labor, including substantial Lifting (up to 60 lbs).
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility clothing.
- Commitment to upholding all Safety regulations and protocols.
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and operate various types of material handling equipment.
