Our Charlotte, North Carolina facility is looking for a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our operations team. This role is crucial for maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our warehouse equipment and systems. You will be responsible for the preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of various warehouse machinery, including conveyors, sortation systems, and automated storage and retrieval systems (AS/RS). The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, experience with electrical systems, and a solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics . You must be committed to upholding the highest standards of workplace safety , including the correct use of PPE and adherence to all established procedures. This role involves some physical work, including occasional lifting and working in various warehouse environments.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Install and commission new equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records.
- Collaborate with operations and management to identify equipment needs and improvements.
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize required PPE at all times, especially when working with machinery.
- Perform tasks that may involve manual labor and lifting up to 50 lbs.
