We are looking for a reliable and safety-conscious individual to manage the movement of materials within our distribution center. This role is vital for ensuring efficient operations, from receiving and put-away to order picking and shipping. You will operate forklifts with precision and care, contributing to a seamless workflow and upholding our commitment to safety and operational excellence. Your expertise will be key to managing our inventory and facilitating timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to transport, lift, and stack palletized materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
- Move products between different areas of the warehouse as directed.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Follow all established safety protocols and warehouse procedures.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace, adhering to all safety guidelines and the correct use of PPE.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics operation through prompt and accurate material handling.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a valid forklift certification and demonstrated experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- At least one year of experience as a forklift operator.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations and practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting (up to 50 lbs) and prolonged standing/walking.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Good spatial awareness and coordination.
- Dedication to safety and the consistent use of required PPE.
- Familiarity with general logistics and supply chain operations.
