We are actively recruiting a Material Handler for our busy facility in San Francisco, California. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. This includes loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods via forklift or pallet jack, and ensuring materials are stored correctly. Your contribution is vital to the smooth functioning of our logistics operations. You will work closely with the shipping and receiving teams to maintain optimal inventory levels and support production processes. A strong understanding of warehouse safety and the proper use of equipment is essential. We provide thorough training on our specific procedures, emphasizing safety protocols and the correct utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves significant physical activity, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling materials. - Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Conduct regular inspections of material handling equipment.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient logistics.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role is required.
- Valid forklift operator certification is a must.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 50-75 pounds regularly.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
