We are looking for diligent Picker/Packers to join our bustling warehouse operations in New York City. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders and preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail will be key to ensuring that customers receive the correct products in perfect condition. You will work with a state-of-the-art inventory management system and will be expected to maintain high levels of productivity and accuracy. This position requires an understanding of logistics and supply chain processes. Safety is our top priority, and all team members must consistently wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow all established safety procedures to prevent accidents. The role involves significant movement throughout the warehouse, including bending, reaching, and frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds. You will be an integral part of a supportive team dedicated to fulfilling orders efficiently and exceeding customer expectations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from inventory according to order slips.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects.
- Pack items securely and efficiently for shipping.
- Label packages correctly for domestic and international delivery.
- Operate scanning equipment and update inventory status.
- Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous picking and packing experience preferred.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, and lifting.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety practices.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
