We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. The Forklift Operator plays a crucial role in the efficient flow of goods within our distribution center, ensuring that materials are handled properly and safely. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from designated areas, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. A strong commitment to **Safety** protocols, including the proper use of **PPE**, is essential for this role. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced **Logistics** setting. The successful candidate will be adept at maneuvering various types of forklifts and adhere to all operational guidelines. Your ability to perform heavy **Lifting** when necessary and contribute to overall team productivity will be highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and store merchandise in designated locations.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
- Follow all **Safety** procedures and guidelines, including the use of appropriate **PPE**.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth **Logistics** operations.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned, which may involve **Lifting**.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.
- Ability to **Lifting** up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse **Safety** regulations and **PPE**.
- Familiarity with **Logistics** processes.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
