We are looking for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Cincinnati, Ohio. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials throughout our facility, including loading and unloading trucks, stocking inventory, and transporting goods to various departments. Your primary focus will be on operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks with precision and care, ensuring the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Safety is absolutely paramount in this role; you must adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and best practices. We provide ongoing Safety training and all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical dexterity and the ability to handle materials effectively, including some manual Lifting when necessary. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will be an integral part of our team, contributing to the efficient and safe handling of all goods.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Move and stack materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring proper placement.
- Transport products to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Adhere to all Safety protocols, including traffic rules within the facility.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including manual Lifting.
- Ensure the work area is kept clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including moderate Lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
