We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within the warehouse. Your duties will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, transporting inventory, and assisting with order fulfillment and stock management. The ideal candidate will be certified, experienced, and possess a deep understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers with accuracy.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack pallets and materials securely, maintaining warehouse organization.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Wear required PPE at all times while on duty.
- Assist with inventory control activities, such as cycle counts.
- Collaborate with other team members to support overall logistics goals.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics setting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse safety standards.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles is beneficial.
Working Conditions:
This position is based in a dynamic warehouse environment. It requires constant operation of machinery and adherence to stringent safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
