We are looking for reliable and motivated Warehouse Workers to join our team in Washington, D.C. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, involving a variety of tasks such as receiving, stocking, order fulfillment, and shipping. You will play a vital part in our logistics chain, ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility. The successful candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and capable of working effectively in a demanding environment. A strong commitment to safety and teamwork is essential. Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against purchase orders.
- Stock received goods in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack orders accurately for outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate various warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Conduct inventory counts and assist with stocktaking.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
- Assist with shipping and receiving documentation.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety procedures.
- Ability to work flexible hours if needed.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking.
- Understanding of logistics principles is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
Working Conditions:
This role requires standing for extended periods, frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. The environment is a busy warehouse, and adherence to safety protocols, including the use of required PPE, is mandatory.
