We are seeking a certified Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this essential role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials, load and unload trucks, and transport goods within the facility. Your efficiency and accuracy are key to our Logistics operations, ensuring materials are moved safely and effectively to support production and shipping needs. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced, and possesses a valid forklift certification. You will play a critical role in maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring the smooth flow of goods. This position requires a commitment to upholding the highest Safety standards, including the proper use of PPE and adherence to all operating procedures. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and unstack materials according to established procedures.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Identify and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure the correct use of required PPE at all times.
- Support the overall Logistics and warehouse operations.
- Practice safe Lifting techniques when handling non-palletized items.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification is mandatory. Proven experience operating various types of forklifts. High school diploma or equivalent. Strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures. Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and some physical exertion, including occasional Lifting. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Reliability and punctuality. Familiarity with Logistics and inventory management systems is a plus. Must be committed to wearing the appropriate PPE.
