Are you an experienced and safety-conscious operator? We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy logistics hub in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your efficiency and safe operation of machinery are vital to maintaining the flow of goods within our warehouse and ensuring timely order fulfillment. This is a hands-on role demanding precision and adherence to safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers as needed.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Stack and stage merchandise in designated locations, ensuring stability and safety.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Assist with inventory control by accurately moving and recording stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to warehouse safety.
- Wear appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and high-visibility vests, at all times.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up).
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics procedures.
- Excellent knowledge of safety practices and regulations related to forklift operation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
- Attention to detail and good spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to adhere to all safety protocols and wear required PPE.
