We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Provo, Utah. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. Your thoroughness in checking, documenting, and verifying deliveries is fundamental to maintaining precise inventory control and ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics network. Accuracy and vigilance are paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the contents of each delivery against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect all incoming products for any signs of damage, defects, or discrepancies.
- Accurately record all received items into the company's inventory management system.
- Label and prepare received goods for placement in the correct warehouse storage locations.
- Maintain a meticulously organized and safe receiving area, free from obstructions.
- Communicate any receiving issues or discrepancies promptly to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in using basic computer systems and inventory software.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting items up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the entire shift.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to consistently wear required PPE, such as safety glasses and work boots.
