• Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration laws by scrutinizing their documentation and personal belongings to determine their citizenship status or identify potential violations.

Typical assignments include:

1. Farm inspections: conducting routine checks on farms located near the border to examine equipment, cargo, and employee records for signs of smuggling activity; verifying compliance with regulations and identifying areas for improvement.
