• Suspect identification and interrogation to prevent illegal border crossings.
• Preventing undocumented noncitizens from entering or attempting to enter the country at or near borders by inspecting people, vehicles, and merchandise transported into/out of the country.

• Detecting signs of human trafficking, smuggling,/b>,and other illicit activities along the U.S. international land borders, as well as coastal areas,  , towaterways excluding navigable waters on either side of the
  Rio Grande River connecting the United States with Mexico.
  Detects persons violating laws relative to importation of prohibited goods for personal nondutiable use including but not limited
  to unapproved medication(s),plant/animal species,and/or destructive devices;or substances subjectto BureauofAlcoholTobaccoFirearmsand Explosives regulation.
