Join us as a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) and become a pivotal force in shaping supplier decisions to align with Siemens Energy’s strategic goals. You’ll collaborate with a diverse team of professionals, leveraging your expertise to enhance supplier capacity, capability, and cost-effectiveness. Your day will be filled with dynamic interactions, driving innovation and excellence in supplier development.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Serve as the key contact for the Generator Global Commodity Manager, crafting procurement strategies and identifying suppliers for synchronous generators, including rotors, stators, and auxiliary systems.
- Lead and mentor a distributed team of Supply Quality Engineers, fostering collaborative learning and training.
- Support cross-functional teams in Product and Process Qualification (PPQ), managing project milestones, budgets, and resources.
- Act as a commodity expert, enhancing strategic suppliers and resolving critical technical issues through a robust commodity/technology network.
What You Bring
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, industrial engineering, or a related field.
- Professional experience in supplier quality management, procurement, and relevant products.
- Expertise in supplier qualification, product/process qualification, and technical supplier development.
- Proven ability to lead projects and manage virtual multi-functional teams in an international setting.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
