Parts Manager – Red Deer

The Parts Manager role is one of the most important leadership positions in the dealership. You are the bridge between customers, technicians, and operations. When parts runs well, the whole shop runs well.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading a team, improving processes, and creating strong customer relationships while driving performance and accountability.

You will work closely with Service, Sales, and corporate leadership to ensure the branch operates efficiently and customers receive fast, accurate solutions that keep trucks on the road.

Paid Well

Our total compensation package offers job security, health, dental, EFAP, vision and life insurance.

Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience)
This position is also bonus eligible based on departmental performance.

The Role

This is a full-time leadership position based at our Red Deer branch. This role requires someone comfortable operating independently, making decisions, and maintaining structured processes while leading a team.

Department Leadership – 40%


• Lead, coach, and support the Parts team
• Schedule staff to meet business demands
• Monitor productivity and performance, holding the team accountable to standards
• Build a positive, organized and process-driven department culture
• Work closely with Service Manager to support shop efficiency

Inventory & Operations Management – 30%


• Manage stocking levels and ordering strategy
• Monitor fill rate, obsolescence, and turns
• Oversee returns, cores, and warranty parts processes
• Ensure accurate pricing and margins
• Maintain vendor relationships and PDC coordination
• Utilize business systems (Procede, OEM portals, supplier systems)

Customer & Business Performance – 20%


• Support front counter and internal shop customers
• Handle escalations and critical orders
• Improve response times and order accuracy
• Track KPIs including fill rate, gross profit, and backorders

Administrative & Compliance – 10%


• Participate in branch meetings and planning
• Maintain a clean, safe and organized department
• Ensure processes are followed consistently across the team
• Continuous improvement initiatives

Education / Certification


• High school diploma required
• Journeyman Parts Technician certification considered an asset

Experience


• Minimum 3 years leadership or supervisory experience required
• 5+ years parts experience preferred, ideally in heavy-duty or commercial vehicles
• Strong understanding of dealership operations and workflow
• Comfortable working independently and making operational decisions
• Experience with inventory control and departmental KPIs
