Job Description
You will direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives. Prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations regarding and, at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. You will report to the Production Manager, and work onsite in Cambridge, ON. This is a 2nd shift opportunity, working (M-T, 2:30PM – 1AM).
Your Responsibilities
Hire, train, evaluate, and develop employees with ongoing performance feedback
Experience implementing training programmes and ensuring compliance with procedures.
Motivating teams, aligning them to goals, and driving engagement.
Manage manufacturing order management systems and maintain accurate records.
Knowledge of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance (ISO9000/14000, health, safety, environmental)
Experience coaching teams in continuous improvement, Lean, Kaizen, and waste‑reduction practices
Plan labor resources, schedule work, and coordinate production transitions.
Skills in analyzing backlogs, capacity, labor efficiency, and operational metrics.
Understanding of budget controls and ability to manage departmental expenses.
Strong customer‑focused mindset and support business goals.
Set clear goals, drive urgency, and remove obstacles.
The Essentials - You Will Have
Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Relevant Work Experience.
Legal authorization to work in Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
(Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Technology, or related) or Business (Management, Supply Chain, or related discipline)
Experience in supervision/engineering in an electrical or electro-mechanical manufacturing environment
Experience leading cross‑functional improvement initiatives with measurable outcomes
Strong capability in presenting operational metrics and identifying process optimization opportunities
Background in supply chain integration and streamlining processes for efficiency
Experience managing high‑volume production environments with strict quality requirements
Proven ability to build strong partnerships across organizational levels
Demonstrated success motivating teams through recognition, communication, and shared goals

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.
For this role, the Base Salary Compensation is from $72, $108,120.00 with an annual target bonus of 5% of base salary. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
