We are seeking a skilled Material Handler for our San Diego, California operations. This position is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse and distribution center. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. A strong focus on **Safety**, efficiency, and accuracy in **Logistics** is expected. Proper use of **PPE** is required at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport materials to and from various departments within the facility.
- Perform regular inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away, retrieval, and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to all **Safety** regulations.
- Follow all company **Safety** policies and procedures, including the use of **PPE**.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Support the overall **Logistics** and supply chain operations through efficient material flow.
- Perform tasks involving **Lifting** up to 50 lbs as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Certification and experience operating forklifts and other relevant equipment.
- Strong understanding of warehouse **Safety** procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** significant weight.
- Familiarity with **PPE** and its importance in warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of **Logistics** and inventory control principles.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Good communication skills.
