We are seeking diligent Picker/Packers to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. You will be responsible for selecting items from inventory and preparing them for safe and timely shipment. If you have a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve products from designated warehouse locations based on order details.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, using provided materials.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to packages.
- Stage completed orders for pickup by shipping carriers.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment according to established standards.
- Operate hand trucks and pallet jacks for moving inventory.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks as required.
- Strictly follow all safety regulations and utilize required PPE at all times.
- Meet performance metrics for picking and packing speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a picking, packing, or warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product information.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure order accuracy.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds repetitively.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety best practices and commitment to using PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines in a logistics setting.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
