We are hiring an Order Picker for our distribution center in Durham, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and precision are key to ensuring timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order sheets or scanner data.
- Verify item numbers and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers or onto pallets.
- Stage orders for packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Participate in inventory control activities, including cycle counts.
- Report any discrepancies or damages to supervisors promptly.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Meet or exceed established productivity targets for order picking.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and inventory management.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to work quality.
