Join our dynamic team as an Order Picker in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia! We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to accurately fulfill customer orders in our bustling warehouse. As an Order Picker, you will be at the forefront of our logistics process, ensuring that the right products are picked, packed, and prepared for shipment. This role is essential for maintaining customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic scanning devices.
- Verify product information, quantities, and quality before proceeding to packing.
- Use of hand-held scanners to track picked items and update inventory levels in real-time.
- Pack orders carefully and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Stage completed orders in designated areas for the shipping department.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all warehouse and logistics best practices.
- Participate in regular inventory counts and assist with stock rotation.
- Follow safe lifting procedures, understanding load capacities and proper body mechanics.
- Collaborate with fellow team members to meet daily picking and packing targets.
- Identify and report any damaged goods or inventory discrepancies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, order picking, or related logistics role is a plus.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds repetitively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including occasional weekends.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards.
- A positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
