Join our logistics team in Austin, Texas, as a Receiving Clerk! We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to manage the incoming flow of goods into our facility. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately unloading, inspecting, and documenting all incoming shipments. Your role is vital in ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will verify deliveries against purchase orders, identify and report discrepancies or damages, and ensure that received items are properly tagged and moved to their designated storage locations. Maintaining precise receiving records is a key aspect of this position. Understanding the broader warehouse logistics chain and contributing to its efficiency is important. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment, and you will be required to follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming freight efficiently and safely.
- Inspect shipments for accuracy and damage, comparing against shipping documents.
- Document all received goods, ensuring data accuracy in the inventory system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages.
- Tag received items with appropriate identification.
- Move received goods to designated storage areas or staging locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and use required PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills and data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to use PPE.
- Good communication skills for reporting discrepancies.
