We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Provo, Utah. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of our products to customers worldwide. You will be responsible for preparing shipping documents, coordinating with carriers, verifying outgoing shipments, and maintaining shipping records. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of safety and efficiency. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our supply chain. This position requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Attention to detail is paramount to prevent errors in shipment and ensure customer satisfaction. Your role will involve interacting with various departments and external partners, making effective communication a key aspect of your daily responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documents, including bills of lading, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Verify the accuracy of outgoing shipments against orders and packing lists.
- Coordinate with freight carriers to schedule pickups and track shipments.
- Maintain organized shipping records and documentation.
- Ensure all shipments comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners regarding shipment status.
- Operate shipping software and equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory checks as needed.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general computer skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting, typically up to 50 lbs.
- Commitment to workplace Safety.
