Opportunity for an experienced Forklift Operator in our Madison, Wisconsin facility! We are seeking individuals with a strong safety record and proven forklift operating skills to manage the movement of materials within our warehouse. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient and safe handling of inventory, playing a key part in our overall logistics network. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and managing inventory placement. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to transport, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Inspect forklifts daily and perform basic maintenance checks, reporting any issues promptly.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Assist with order picking and packing when not operating machinery.
- Ensure all movements comply with Safety regulations and company policies.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Participate in inventory management processes and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and demonstrable experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse Safety standards and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting up to 50 pounds, when necessary.
- Strong understanding of material handling techniques and warehouse logistics.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.
- Good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts and overtime as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
