We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth flow of goods into and out of our facility. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying contents, operating equipment, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring adherence to safety standards. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our operational success and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse environments and possess strong organizational skills. We prioritize a safe working atmosphere and expect all employees to diligently follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). This position involves regular physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and moving packages. Your role is a key component of our broader logistics network, contributing to efficient inventory management and timely order fulfillment. We are committed to providing a supportive work environment where your contributions are valued. Training on specific procedures and equipment will be provided. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Ensure all shipments are properly documented and processed.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments.
- Track shipments and provide status updates as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or a related warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer systems.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory management principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
