Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in our busy Chicago, Illinois facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including moving, organizing, and preparing materials for shipment. This role is vital to the smooth operation of our **Logistics** network. You will handle incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring accurate inventory counts and proper storage. The Material Handler must be physically fit, capable of performing tasks that involve significant **Lifting**, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Strict adherence to **Safety** regulations and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (**PPE**) are non-negotiable. You will work as part of a team, contributing to the efficient processing of orders and the overall success of the warehouse. This position requires a strong work ethic and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials.
  • Sort, label, and store materials in designated locations.
  • Pick and pack orders accurately according to shipping requirements.
  • Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy through regular checks.
  • Load and unload trucks and containers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all **Safety** protocols, including proper **PPE** usage.
  • Support **Logistics** operations by ensuring materials are ready for dispatch.
  • Perform **Lifting** and moving of heavy objects as required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse environment is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including **Lifting** up to 50 lbs.
  • Understanding of warehouse **Safety** procedures.
  • Familiarity with **PPE**.
  • Basic understanding of **Logistics** principles.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team.
